Naturalistic Developmental Behavioural Interventions Principles (NDBI's) and ABA/VB Therapy
I provide consultations and programme setting as well as direct therapy sessions for autistic children and children with co-existing conditions (such as Specific Learning Difficulties including ADHD) and symptoms of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
I use child-centred therapy methods when working with autistic children.
Child-centred or child-led therapy means that I follow the child's interests during play-based therapy sessions.
I use evidence-based strategies, such as:

-
Early Start Denver Model principles (ESDM) - The Early Start Denver Model is a naturalistic behavioural developmental evidence-based, and play-based therapy that helps autistic children develop social communication skills, play skills, relationships and language through everyday activities.

-
Naturalistic Environment Teaching (NET) and naturalistic ABA/VB Therapy - Applied Behaviour Analysis and Verbal Behaviour Therapy - A child led method which uses the child's motivation and interests to teach new skills and new behaviours. This approach encourages the child to learn new, positive behaviours in an engaging and meaningful context, which is relevant to the child's experiences.
Mindfulness-Based ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Training

ACT is an empirically based intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies along with commitment and behaviour-change strategies to increase psychological flexibility in children.
ACT interventions focus around two main processes; developing acceptance of unwanted personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings, and making a commitment to taking specific direct actions leading toward living a values-based life.

ABC Start Brick® Therapy
Lego®-based therapy (LeGoff et al 2014) is an evidence based approach that aims to develop social communication skills in autistic children, such as sharing, turn-taking, and problem-solving. It uses children’s love of Lego play, as well as their interests to develop communication and social skills.

ABC-Start-Brick® Therapy focuses on the child's development of:
-
speech and language skills
-
functional (meaningful) communication and social interaction skills
-
play skills and sensory play
Disclaimer: Brick therapy programme and AutPlay Therapy are not behaviour-analytic in nature and are not covered by my BACB credential.
Parent/Carer Behaviour Support Consultations and Positive Behaviour Support (pbs)
Positive behaviour support (pbs) and behaviour guidance/advice support strategies consultations are available in person. Face to face consultations are available in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire areas.

Parents/carers can book a behaviour support guidance and advice consultation as well as positive behaviour support strategies consultations, which includes written positive behaviour support (pbs) plan. Please note, that Positive Behaviour Support (pbs) service requires more than one consultation.

Sleep Consultations
Sleep consultations and individualised sleep plans for autistic children or children with the symptoms of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Sleep consultations start with initial free phone call to see whether I can help you. The following consultation includes assessment of your child's sleep problem. Parents/carers will be asked to complete sleep diaries and other logs, such as night waking logs and daytime nap logs. Following our consultations, the family will then receive personalised sleep plan (written or verbal depending on your choice). The progress is then monitored via regular contact.
AutPlay Therapy®
AutPlay Therapy integrates models of play therapy and relationship development strategies in a collaborative protocol. It involves stages of intake and assessment phase, structured play and a termination phase. It also involves AutPlay Follow Me Approach - child led play therapy approaches. AutPlay therapy values the individual needs of each child and uses therapeutic powers of play to address a range of child's needs, such as emotional regulation, social needs, engagement, connection, sensory challenges, self-esteem and parent and child struggles.
